Hello, I am wondering if there is a botanical term to describe an airy branching habit in trees and shrubs. For instance azaleas native to the northwest and northeast tend to have sparser foliage and elongated branches. Is there a term for this, just as there are terms for columnar ex. "fastigiate"?

I ask because I'm looking for shrubs that fit this description, but take full sun, and my searches are limited by my limited botanical vocabulary.
