Wow, you are so much farther along than we are in zone 6a. And that was back o March 1st?

Green with envy :) We had a nice week that melted all our snow finally. I even got out a lawn chair to enjoy the warm sunshine one day with no jacket on! Then, yesterday we got 5" of snow again.

I checked mine last weekend, and in spite of a brief stretch of pleasant temps, no sprouts. Good thing, too, because, as molanic mentioned, we got dumped on by snow on Monday, and it's still biting cold out.

No sprouts on mine either. We also got hit with snow on Monday - I'm in NW IL. Didn't mind though because I had done my last set of milk jugs and didn't water them. I hope to see a few sprouts in the next few months.

We've had a warmer than usual winter so I have some sprouts already.

    Hollyhocks

    @sandyslopes.....those sprouts look so vibrant!

Keep em coming! I think I will finally see my jugs free of snow sometime next week...sigh. I hope my hollyhocks look like that.

That's Di Ciccio broccoli to the right - all of those sprouted in a single 1 gallon nursery pot. A bit scary as I winter sowed about 70 pots. (The square pots on the left are daylily divisions from the yard - not grown from seed.)

Onions plus Di Ciccio broccoli again. I'm going to have a lot of broccoli.

Day lily hybrids (wintersowed) plus something still lidded on the left, maybe the lavender?

Three pots of hollyhocks getting their first real leaves plus a ton of snapdragons. I'll need to Hunk O' Seedling those. My Baby Blue Eyes Nemophila also sprouted a while ago and grew so madly I've already planted it out.

The snapdragons again, a broccoli mix and dill.

A pot of columbine. About half of my 70 pots have sprouted. This is just a sampling. I'm going to be pretty busy planting all this out. The broccoli really should go out soon I think.

We've had a really warm spring here according to the locals (Zone 8) so I'm sure my sprouts are ahead of a lot of yours. I'm out there looking at my pots almost every day like a true WS addict, and every new pot that sprouts is exciting. It's a special kind of magic. :)

The columbine just sprouted in the last week or two, and some of it is still coming up. I think the daytime temperatures were nearly 60 for a few days. It didn't sprout in the low 50s when a lot of the other seeds sprouted, so maybe it needs warmer temperatures?

This is really giving me hope!

We have had warm temperatures for a while, with a few cold days in between. I ws columbine last year but didn't keep records on what sprouted when. They did come up in good quantities. Some of them are getting ready to bloom. I can hardly wait to see them bloom. Hopefully this years seeds will sprout soon.

Glad to hear that columbine is a bit later. I have about 8 plants that I got late last summer for $1 a plant at a clearance. They're showing no signs of returning yet, but then we just got into the 50s the last few days so maybe soon...

    Let's see

    Spanish Lavender, sown Nov, 2014

    Old Impatiens seeds, sown 2/26/15

Lots of stuff, sown March 27, 2015

I've lost tons of sprouts due to rains, so I'm re-sowing many things.

I have sprouts! 3 days of 60+ degrees finally gave me some green. I have shasta daisy, lupine, phlox, hollyhock, and gaillardia (not pictured). I think the rest will come on quickly now.

Mizzteek isn't it exciting??? How many did you sow total?

I sowed 35 and about 7 show signs so far! I am sure the rest will be right behind them.

Columbine volunteers are coming up in the garden from last years plants, and I only have 2 ws columbine seedlings in my jugs so far. Guess I will have plants either way. :-)
