Vinyl plank will not hold up as well as tile. Perhaps find a tile you like, which will hold up to a lot of abuse and can be mopped clean.

Floorte by Shaw, is not your regular vinyl plank. It's a new generation of vinyl plank called ewp(enhanced work plank). I have this product down and I love it, and most people cant tell its not real hardwood. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Adam, may I ask which Floorte you went with? We were going to use tile wood planks in the house but just found Floorte. Because of the cost and similar look, we are leaning towards this product. Our main concern was bathrooms and kitchen. However they promote this product as being good for those applications.
