You're correct in that the contrast is high in these photos, so the walnut looks a little dark, but it isn't far from the actual color. We can produce these pieces in any choice of wood, though. So you can put in an order and ask for Birch, Maple, Walnut, etc, and we'll make it happen.

We would like the same table in a lighter color (different wood). Can we see images of the table in Birch and/or Maple?

We can definitely build this same table in Oak, Birch or Maple for a lighter look. We have yet to have one ordered like this, so there are no photos we can share right now. What we can do is send you a small sample piece of the types of wood you're interested in, though. Would that interest you?

The photo of the maple is unfinished, but the maple and the birch both look very similar in color once they have a coat on it. The maple is a cleaner more modern look. Oak has the most grains, has the most yellow tint to it, and is the least modern looking. Birch is just about in between.
