I'm zone 6

I have good luck with hollies or viburnum, they love the berries. Since you are in zone 6 you have many choices. The hummingbird love my hibiscus and weigelia. Again many choices. Your nursery should have many varieties to choose from.

My hummingbirds love my honeysuckle!

Where will the shrubs be?

In front of the house, a hedge, a shrub border?

Full sun, morning sun, shade?

Put them where you want to view birds. The hummingbird plants should be closer to the house ,around your patio. Hollies make a nice foundation plant or shrub boarder. Again your nursery will help you, just take a photo of the front or back of your yard and they will guide you.
