Bamboo Floor Disaster

Hi, I got new bamboo floors when I renovated my NYC apartment two years ago. I got Morningstar click floors from Lumber Liquidators.

Since they were installed I've had the flooring gap in a few places in my 750 sq ft apartment.

The worst is in my hallway where the two floor boards have split almost a quarter of an inch. This started last winter but the gap wasn't as bad. In the summer the gap closed, but it is much worse this winter. I know that floors exapand and contract a bit with the seasons (and living in a NY apartment where you don't have central heat / ac doesn't help), but this has gotten really bad. This is an up close photo followed by a photo of the whole area.

I am also having problems in other areas of my apartment. In my kitchen the flooring between my fridge and wine fridge is really messy. Again, it got better in the summer but got worse this winter.

Two other areas where this is happening is in my bedroom. The first is by my a/c which leaked last summer, so I'm guessing that is a factor. The second area is in another part of my room. Not as bad, but I'm concerned it could get worse as the other areas have.

Please help! I really want to get this fixed and am hoping it does not require replacing my floors which I only got two years ago. My original contractor has conveniently gone MIA. I had one floor contractor come and tell me I needed to do a full replacement. Does anyone have any other ideas / suggestions on how I can handle this? Recommendations for floor experts in NYC is welcome too. Thank you!
