Art work, lighting and a personalized collection, would express your personality and warm up that wall.

The first picture is 'mural wallpaper' for an accent wall. The rest are wallpaper possibilities. It isn't easy finding graphic wallpaper with gold I. It. May be easier to go with a grey scale.

I think a furniture piece that is the length of the window would be more in proportion and then easier to place decorative items on wall.

If you get a longer buffet, then hang white floating shelves the length of window. Something along the lines of picture but with the needed tweak.

I am guessing that if you had a buffet as wide as the wall that there would be no space to come around the corner or get to the head of the table

Thank you Inner Vision, I stand corrected. I meant to say a buffet that runs the length of the window, along the wall. Which I do believe, will not impede anyone's effort to get around the table.

A tall lamp on one end with three or four framed pictures in a grouping next to it. Then keep accessories simple, a pretty bowl or a plate on a stand.

If you want to create the optical illusion that the piece is as wide as the wall, look at this picture.
The wall space is centered on the glass lamp and flanked by art that is wider than the table.

That pole is kinda bothersome looking imho. If you can remove it and replace with an angled support beam (if support is in fact needed here) in the top left corner of wall to ceiling, it could really open things up. Or perhaps rid the entire buffet (?) thing completely. If pole can't be removed I'd paint it a more muted color so to blend in with the background so less noticeable. Also, if pole must stay, I'd also see if I could get a more minimalistic/streamlined housing for it - clean lines and without any frills whatsoever.... Hope I'm making at least some bit of sense here. Just my unprofessional opinion...
