Look at Ikea for drapes, go solid color either off-white or matching wall color. Can you provide photos of surrounding areas for more comprehensive advise? I would place your lighter pillows in front of the red ones. Start with an area rug 1st, one the size to include the front feet of all furniture. Look at Overstock.com for ones with little to no pattern. A soft color stripe with your colors might be nice. Is there going to be a TV in the room? Keep us informed. Thank you.

Your room definately needs some or one good piece of art. After buying the art draw some colors from that to use on an area rug.

you should always buy a piece of art that you will enjoy looking at for a long time. Many places will allow you to bring it home to try out. Your walls look muted which will also be good for art. The chair will most likely fit in with what you like. Buy the rug last.

The room needs texture, so I would buy a wool/sisal rug in 8x10 or 9x12 size. A natural color would add an organic feel to your lovely furniture. Pick up colors in art. A large piece over the sofa, something you love, not just something that fills the space will make your room soar.

Check out sites like rugsusa.com, homedecorators.com, arearugsusa.com, overstock.com, amazon.com for rugs. I would say a 6 x 9 would work in your space.

Reverse the placement of the pillows on the sofa, please. With the grey wall color, the glass tables with chrome, the lack of color in your sofa & matching chair, you very much need some warmth in the room.

I do like the red pillows, however they are such a large difference in color with the rest of the room, we need to work on adding another warm color. I usually recommend a rug 1st as it anchors the room, but everyone else is asking for art 1st. That can definitely give you the inspiration for the addition of different colors. Definitely agree with the rest of the folks to find an artwork you love then buy the rug. Looking at your room, a simple rug will work in the grey tones or get a color from your leaf pattern chair.
