I'd soak them in a systemic fungicide then let dry. You could try the hot water treatment. I have some reddish stuff in that one pot previous mentioned. I soaked them and now I'm spraying them...it can be a challenge. This is my first run-in with such a problem.

Some of mine have red blotch too, and like Kristi said, soaking them in fungicide usually does the trick. And don't worry, the blotch usually doesn't effect the bloom if you treat it properly. If you have multiple bulbs I suggest keeping your hands clean when working with them, the fungus could be spread by your hands or other garden tools.
