Grammatohyllum speciosum potting medium

So I have this G. speciosum devision. I currently have it planted in coconut husk I got from Walmart (this was last Thursday). I initially could not decide whether to plant this orchid in fir bark or coconut husk but decided on the husk since I'm using a basket and I figured the husk would dry out pretty quickly. Now I'm concered it stays wet for too long. I don't have much experience with Grammatophyllums but something tells me I should use bark because it will dry faster and the roots will be better off in a more airy environment. I thought I check with this forum to hear what anyone else has to say before I remove the coco husk. Any thoughts? Thanks!
