I have a small craftsman cottage - 1506sf, 3br (although one has french doors opening up to the living room), 2ba. It was renovated in 2006, but they did some strange things. I've attached a sketch of my remodel plans of the kitchen/dining area. In that current space, there are two walls separating it into separate areas. I will be removing all of those.

Here is my question: What size and type (round, rectangular, pedestal, etc.) table is best for this small space? The dimensions are in the drawing. I am having a hard time figuring it out. I need to know before the remodel, though, because I want the chandelier to be centered over the table. It is not going to be a perfect space with a conventional dining room and separate laundry room, etc., but it is a much better use of space with way more natural light than currently.
