This is Sheryl, originally from Ontario. You send me boxes of plants a couple of years ago and we have traded seed a few times. I couldn't get in with my old username, so got this new one.

I am planting them again this year and will, hopefully, have an abundance of seed for the Hopi Black squash this coming fall. I didn't prevent crossing last year and I know that the seeds crossed so there's no point in using those. I have only a few pure ones left for myself this year but will save you some for the fall. It's a moschata. I planted it interwoven with butternut and then didn't have time to tape it. That won't happen this year. I will be happy to trade for various canna seeds in the fall.

Did you have any luck with the Hopi pale gray squash?

Hi Sheryl , Thanks so much for the offer . I would definitely love to try some please. I did try the hopi grey last year but the plants failed as did almost all the veggie garden ....some sort of blight hit everything , tomatoes .....got very few useable ones . I got one very small spagetti squash and a few cukes . The plants started off well grew some nice vines but then shriveled it was a very disappointing year all around ...no fruit on the trees due to late frost too. ......I sent some seeds (that I got from you ) to a man named Dan (you referred him to me ) and so he is going to try to grow some and send back some seeds if he is successful. Fingers crossed he is successful .

Hopefully I will have a lot of spare seed this coming fall and will save some for you. I have a list of people to send them to in the fall and some seed banks, as well. If I don't get in touch with you in Oct, please send me an email to ask about them.

Its our favourite squash! They grow HUGE out here. We had a 50 pounder last year, although most are not that big and they kept until now. We just cut into the last one and processed it for the freezer, still in perfect shape!

Heather, do you have any Hopi gray squash seeds left? I would like to try them again, myself. I sent all I had to you. I hope Dan comes through! Lets do a trade in the fall :-)
I will be looking for canna seeds from fancy striped or red leaves with large flowers.

All of my cannas and taro died over the winter! I guess I will be keeping the bulbs in the spare fridge next winter...

I too am in search of some Hopi Black seeds, and would love to do a trade with you this fall if you do end up saving some seeds! I am growing lots of different squashes this year and should have some different varieties to trade.

I will post them for trading in the fall this year. I will probably be looking for ornamental seeds, perennials and annuals. I don't grow many veggies, just no time.

Sheryl ,only just now saw your post about wanting some Hopi Grey seeds . i thought I had sent all I had to Dan but I guess I saved a few ....so if you still want I can send you about 10 .......if that works for you.
