I like the idea of a round dining table as well. I'm also thinking about the possibilities of building in some seating. I think that would be really nice with the shape of room that you have. I like the chairs and I would probably go with a round table as well in wood. Where I would add the more modern element would be in your light fixture. I would replace the fan with a fun modern light .

Good suggestions. We have a 1 year old so I avoid glass at all cost. I like the idea of an antique round table
