There a lot more to Iiris than "bloom counrt". Hybridizers get a little carried away with the count. The plant is very important. Does it increase well? Does it provide nice foliage? Afterall it only blooms for a short time, it must look good in the flower bed all summer. Does the bloom hold up well? Good substance and lack of color fade is important. And, last of all is it pretty??

Good points Chris. Sarah has a typical 4 day bloom when temps are in the low 70's. Vigor she does have! When visiting iris farms I find myself looking for those whose buds open 2 at a time for a longer display period. Love those double, and triple, socketed buds. Afternoon Delight is one that comes to mind. Darn, Sarah is finished for spring bloom as of yesterday.
