What are the winter temps like there? I do not think it is best mounted hanging down like that.

Some people will talk about getting water in the crown but if you had it mounted vertical you will find that the plant would lean out and water in the crown is not a problem.

Summer is finished here and mine are inside, but during the heat and humidity of summer they grew gang busters and I watered them with a hose every two days.

Getting the temps and shading right is the key to success.

Doesn't look good to me. Not enough water would be my guess.

I grow them on trees where they survive . how long has it been on the tree is it rooted?? If so it's going to get a major set back when moved . I use no media at all and water frequently . They do best during the rainy season which is coming up . Humidity is climbing now so will help a lot. If the roots look good I'd leave it alone . It takes some time to adjust naturally gary

The winter temps are usually pretty mild. 75 for high but there have been over average temps and I think I lost track of how dry the orchid got. I was so impressed with it's flowers, my mind told me it was doing just fine. It's rood system is ok...it is starting to shoot roots into the palm tree moss. It has been on the tree for about 6 months. It can probably be taken off without too much damage. It is on a mount and that is attached to the tree. I don't think the leaves are going to recover. Too much wilting. They were much more hydrated before the heat spell came around.
