Hi all! It's been YEARS since I've done the fig thing. After living in the desert and overseas for 6 years, I wanted to get back into growing figs again, so I placed a request last year. They showed up today, and I'm so excited!! Now for the prep part. I seem to recall needing to wrap them in moist paper towels, placing them in a container or ziplocks in the fridge, and leaving them for about three weeks before potting. However, after running a quick search on Google, I'm not seeing the fridge reference at all. Is this still standard? I would have been more prepared, however I honestly thought I would not receive them this year. I hadn't heard from them until yesterday.

I also seem to recall that the last time I did this, I received them a lot earlier. It is now spring time and the daytime temps are popping up into the 80's. I'm wondering if cooling this at this time would be beneficial?

Can anyone advise? Mold is a big thing here, and I DON'T think they'd survive sitting at room temperature enclosed with moisture.
