Many of my cuttings are large in diameter. They would fit into the Roottone bottle but not into the Clonex which meant I had to paint the Clonex on the cutting. It was a much slower process and I got the same general results so I use the powder. And it is cheaper.

Hello , I have been using the compound for years, I think in both product the rotting agent is called indol butiric acid. I have never lost a cutting using these two presentations, but I think that the pwoder stimulates the rooting formation faster. I have right now over 50 fig cuttings with Clonex , differents varieties and they rooted , but the time and the succes rate is very similar using it or just planting without it.

I also like the rooting powder ... I mix it with sulphur by half..

Definitely cheaper. I did try the Clonex but I like the powder... Just easier

Thanks Y'all. Since 2002 I've used liquid sulphur or Liquid Safer Fungicide which is basically liquid sulfur to wet the end of my cutting before dipping into Rooting powder, helps cure the end of cutting and keep rot away.
