Our master bath has two separate vanities- as you walk in, one on your far left, the other on your far right. Here is a picture of the vanity on the right (shower is next to it, separated by a wall). The left vanity is separated from the toilet, by a similar wall. Each vanity is 48" wide, with 9' ceiling:

I chose this mirror (36"W x 48"H) for each vanity:

Although I would love to place two sconces on either side, I don't think I will have enough room (unless somebody tells me otherwise). With these dimensions, I would only have a total of 6" on either side to work with. Found this possibility (4" wide), but seems like a tight fit:

So instead, was planning to place a light above the mirror. I need some advice about the light I choose.

First, at what height should I hang the mirror and light? Should the mirror start 6" above counter? And the light 5-6" above mirror? I want to be thinking of functionality here also- to make sure the light isn't so high as that I can't use it for makeup or my husband for shaving.

My second general question is which light style goes with this look. For example, this style (which provides 360W and is 36" wide):

or whether I should choose a style like these (both provide 240W each, 36" wide- and would probably downface to maximize light):
