Hello,

I have a 18hp Craftsman lawn tractor, model number 917.252711. I have just changed the solenoid, and tuned it up. Now, when I engage the blades or release the clutch/ brake pedal, the engine just stops. Sound like its just grounded out. I have read several of the posts here, and going off of them, I have checked the seat switch , normaly closed until the plunger is depressed. Deck is clear, and no binding on the belt or pulleys. Engine runs great, as long as I have the brake set, or have the clutch pedal depressed. Any help would be great. (seat switch is plugged up tight..)
