Hello, everyone!

Recently, a friend of mine purchased a young yellow clivia online. I grew a little envious and foolishly decided to purchase an orange clivia that was advertised on Ebay for about the same price.

The plant is not only significantly larger than I anticipated, but seems to be extremely sick. (I mean, it was shoved into a small box and shipped from coast to coast……) Some of the leaves were damaged in the process.

I’m trying to identify the problems as accurately as possible before I try anything drastic. I especially need help identifying the raised orange markings on the leaves.

I went over the surface of the leaves with water and a hint of rubbing alcohol and the white blotches seem to have gone away. I’m not sure if that’s fungus or mealy bugs… I also repotted in what I had, which was potting mix I originally had for succulents mixed with orchid potting bark and sand. I haven’t watered it yet.

The merchant on Ebay is silent, so I’m doing what I can in the meantime to take care of it. I may end up keeping it, just far away from my other plants…

My zone is 6B, I’ve had it for about three days, and I plan to keep it indoors in a pot…
