ID Please

Hi everyone - My friend was given a plant like the one in the (not very good) attached picture. He was told they thought it is called a Madagascar Palm. Could anyone on here please positively ID it for me and if possible also give the botanical name.

It's a Pachypodium, not a palm. Can't tell you which one but if you google there's a lot of information out there about them.

It's actually a hybrid Euphorbia. Great plants for warm sunny spots.

Well, live and learn. The only Euphorbias I have (several species) are weeds and difficult to get rid of. Guess there have to be some nice ones around somewhere.

That's a close relative, if not a cultivar of, Euphorbia milii… aka Crown of Thorns

Hi everyone - Thanks for all the information; I'll pass it on to my friend. Personally I think it looks nice as well but plants as thorny as that one aren't my cup of tea.
