On Sunday I embarked on my first ever stone project: an expanded walkway to our front door! We bought the house in October and have been dying to get outside and do some work since then. We finally got nice weather this weekend, so out I went! Before, the pathway was only about 2 feet wide and encumbered by a large bush (which I plan to remove soon). Oftentimes it left me stepping on the grass, creating a muddy pathway next to the stone. Now, the walkway extends to the front of our enclosed porch, bringing a warm welcome to guests and a smile to my face whenever I get home. Not too shabby for this first time homebuyer!
