If it decides to languish instead of flourish, have you thought of potting it up and babying it through? maybe snap off a good piece from the plant and try it, Fwiw?

10 inches of sawdust is still a lot of carbon even at 5 years of age. Watch for signs of chlorosis and give the plants some nitrogen if you see it.

Umm, how would I know chlorosis, it's an orangeish foliage anyway :) But yes, I did plan to give it some extra nutrients (if the rain will ever stop...so I can)

It languished last year in a pot....this was the desperate, try something else...and it already looks better than it did.
