I am building a new construction home and had a Blanco Siligrant sink put in the kitchen, the house is not finished yet, so I have not got to use it. It sure looks beautiful.

I have had the black granite sink in my own home. I had it for 3yrs prior to moving and was the owner that installed it. The sink never looked nasty in my home. I always just cleaned it with liquid dish soap and hot water. Maybe the nasty one was not cared for properly. The sink did show water spots, but they weren't permanent. To avoid that I just wiped it dry after each cleaning.

I am building a new home and I chose to go with The Galley Sink. This is a new product of only a year or two and manufactured in my hometown of Tulsa, OK. The sinks are amazing because they are a workstation and become additional countertop. They have multiple levels that collanders,cutting boards, serving bowls, etc slide back and forth on. We sell Blanco sinks here in our showroom, and they are wonderful! We have not had any complaints whatsoever. We generally sell their lighter colors, so I do not have any experience with a black one personally.

We also sell lots of Siligranit sinks from Blanco and have had no problems, I like the idea of a dark sink with a darker counter top so the sink just disappears instead of standing out in contrast.

I had the color "Truffle" for my new house, it is installed and looks great, I read to rub a touch of mineral oil after it was dried.
