Oh, so far, yours is prettier than mine!! Mine is OK and I'm struggling to get a good picture so I will try again tomorrow but so far mine isn't as curvy as yours and the others on the other thread. But I see that yours is about 3 days ahead of mine, the two side flowers aren't out at all so maybe mine will curve up. Mine is extremely dark and hubby loves it! I'll take it outside if the wind isn't too much tomorrow, it would tip over! The second bulb that had the rot that I may have stemmed, has a different color to the scape so I'm not sure what it will turn out to be but at the very least I do think I got one good one.
The first flowers on the first bulb were pretty but not as curvy, the second scape much nicer. This bulb took longer to flower but was worth the wait. I can't wait to see your pictures. I think they will be even better next year - but I'm happy with them this year too :)
Well, I guess this is the best my Tosca can do, it doesn't seem to have the curvy shape or the pinker color and it has more white than yours but all in all I like it and I'm satisfied. It appears that this will be the only scape so I will enjoy it. Hubby just loves it but I guess I said that before;-). I only got the pollen off of two flowers in time so one will get Chico and the other I haven't quite decided. I never had any luck getting my previous Toscas to set seedpods but maybe this is a different strain.☺☺
Very pretty Donna and that is how the first scape on the first bulb flowered. But the second scape (after some roots and leaves) which just flowered looks just like the picture on top (second bulb). Also the flowers seem to turn more red and curvy over a couple of days. I expect, since yours is showing curves that next year (or another scape) will show its full potential. I do agree, they are beautiful either way.
