privacy hedge

We are in Nashville and are looking to plant a privacy hedge along our back chain-link fence. It is partial sun and pretty wet soil. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should plant? Was thinking thuja green giants, but not sure they will do well with the partial sun? Also where is the best and economical place to buy in Nashville?

Those would be good trees for you. Also the Thuja CanCan's if you have a lower height issue. Another good one that can take partial sun and will grow 3-5ft/yr is a Leyland Cypress.
Arborday.org has a lot of info about most all trees. As far as the cheapest place in Nashville...when you find out, let me know! :)

Green Giants are much more reliable than Leylands (which are absolutely PLAGUED by pest and disease problems), but do get pretty sparse/open looking with even partial shade. They are best for full-sun areas.
