My husband and I have just purchased this home. All of the furniture and paint colors are from the previous owners (we aren't keeping furniture). I need help accentuating the beautiful ceiling in the living room - where it vaults up to 18 feet. Should I paint the ceiling white? Should I remove ceiling fan and place a nice oversized fixture there instead? What color should i paint walls and fireplace wall? I am trying to keep with french chateau and European styles (pic attached). All help is appreciated.
