I would move the lamp to the left corner near the window and add a side table/lamp between the couches. Would change the chandelier to a much larger one and have it hang down fairly low over a very large coffee table and add a bench near the window. Your room needs some color and layering and I would add drapery, pillows, a throw and lots of items on the coffee table for more interest.

I either leave it empty or I would put a curved console table there and hang art back to back in the middle of your opening. I know you said it's an open concept, but to me it is only open to the hall. That is why I would add back to back art or hand stain glass.

Then you can put lamps on the console to get more light into the room.

I don't quite know why but my first thought was something natural, interesting a bit of funk just to step this beautiful room, up! It seems a little, outdoorsy, traditional w some asian accents. Why not a bamboo something...maybe a screen type that lets some light through? And the curved wall above. Would be nice if it was highlighted subtly with tonal textural pattern with grass cloth or a soft pattern like in your rug? or a lovely wall finish. Like the color on your dining room chairs--and pops of color accents, too!
