The "sealant" has nothing to do with the sheen. You fix this by polishing with MB20 with a hogs hair pad if you haven't abraded through the resin applied at the factory.

I'll try to post pics. That was my thought but I'm just patiently waiting for his "sealant".

Ok but the only way should be via polishing? Do you think this can be accomplished via hand, or the tool? The reason I am asking is because he may not have the tool here, and this can be an easy tell tale if he's blowing smoke up you know where.

A sealer can impart a gloss for a while, but you want the permanence of a mechanical polish. This is more art than science.

Place a straightedge over the seams. Does it rock or are there gaps? There should be neither. When taking a picture, you want a low level light shot, which doesn't mean low light, but means the camera is close to the level of the top and you're bouncing the available light off the seam area.

Hi All:

Just to follow up on my post. The ctr brought in a restoration guy and they discussed my ctr's steps and pads he used and compared that to what the restoration guy would do and his opinion on the cloudyness. The ctr decided to do it himself. Well, he did it and fixed the problem. He just didn't do it long enough the first time and hoped I would not catch it or just let it go. Anyway, problem solved and thanks to all for educating me on the process.
