We bought our house in 2012 and was greeted by these growing under some bushes, full sun in Florida sand.

Came here back then, for identification and was told they were Ammaryllis. I later bought a bulb at a plant show and was told it was a Pappillio (?). I planted it and this is what came up. I thought it was expensive ($30.00) but its a striking color. It started blooming 2 months after the above flowers which are finished.

I got 5 flowers out of the one bulb! Obviously they had offshoots which flowered this year. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Very vibrant red, you can see the flowers a mile away. Love it, would like to get more as they flower later and, honestly have been very neglected. Growing in pure sand, never water and full Florida sun (south).
