Thank you for your response, the style is a new townhouse, I haven't decided what kind of granite. I would like dark walnut floors. I love French country, modern country, cottage style. I don't like modern or contemporary.

If you prefer a country or cottage style, then the glazed cabinet may be the way to go. It definitely has some rustic charm because of the glaze. However, if you want more of an informal setting then the white cabinet would be a nice choice. Honestly, I think both cabinets could work. It all depends on what kind of feel you are seeking for your new kitchen. If you want a more formal look, then the glazed cabinets would be nice. But, if you would rather a more relaxed, informal feeling then the non-glazed white cabinets might be a better selection. What sort of mood or feeling are you looking to get out of your new kitchen?

Also, do you have an idea of what kind of granite you'd like? There are so many different colors and styles that have varying degrees of movement in the stone. Do you think you have an idea at least what colors you'd be looking for in a granite slab? You could always select a granite first, then base your cabinet design choices around that! Thank you for you comment , for the granite I'm in between black or natural stone with brown and cream, like Santa Cecilia. I love the glaze cabinets even though they are more formal. I love the glaze cabinets, but I don't like a too formal kitchen. I want it to feel relax cozy and clean.

Have you thought about adding a glaze to your second cabinet option? That seems like a happy medium between the two. I hope you don't mind, but I took a quick look through your idea books and the white recessed panel cabinet style seems to be a dominant theme! The recessed panel style is definitely more casual, and adding the glaze to it would enhance the lines of the cabinetry detail while adding some country charm. I like the idea of either glazed cabinets with Santa Cecilia (the warm earthy tones in the granite will echo the glaze color) or the non-glazed white cabinet with soapstone countertops. Soapstone will add a lot of texture to the room due the finish and the veining in the stone, and it's a softer look relative to black granite.

Do you have any pictures or a floor plan that you could share? It's good to get an idea of the available natural lighting in the room and the layout.

Personally, I like the top one but some clients might want a less antiqued look. The bottom is very traditional as well but it could go with several house styles.

You can have cozy, elegant and functional all in one with the glazed cabinets. We just completed ours. Painted our old golden oak cabinets....

The glaze looks a bit out of place with the stainless fridge and OTR microwave.

I think for the layout and the size of the kitchen, I would go with the non-glazed cabinets. I'd be afraid that the glazed cabinet style that you've chosen might look too busy (due to the multiple panels and details!) in a kitchen that size without any direct natural light in the room. The non-glazed cabinets would probably be much brighter as well. Good luck! :)
