1935 Antique Cape Kitchen

The original kitchen was cut-off from the rest of the house. It was bright with a big pantry, but it was not easy for entertaining or contemporary living. We opened up the room up by removing the wall between the kitchen and the living room and built an addition to give even more workspace and storage. The island is made from re-claimed barn boards the homeowner was able to find. We also continued the beautiful antique yellow pine floors into the new kitchen and addition. To top it all off, beautiful soapstone and marble countertops.
