Hello all,

I make a lot of sausage and salami products and one ingredient all my recipes use is cayenne powder. So this year I decided to try growing my own. I planted two plants into 4 gal containers using a 5-2-1 mix.

My question is about fertilizing, they are only about 1.5' tall thus far and I have been fertilizing them as I do my container citrus, a tsp white vinager and foilage pro. At this point I have only needed to water once a week. We had a very hot period for a week and half last week and I had to water 2 a week. Am I on the right track with these peppers in terms of fertilizing?

The mix also contains oscomote plus.
