Now the good news, mine is in bloom and if I can get it to bloom it proves it is an easy to grow and bloom orchid.

Seriously, Rhynchostylis coelestis is less demanding of heat and humidity than the general run of Vandas. Plant looks in good condition and all you need now is some good advice from the real orchid growers........

Added via Edit. Here is a pic of where the plant lives at the far end in that little line of black pots high up near the glass. That is the South wall (Less light in the Southern Hemisphere)

Where has everyone gone? The link has an old pine rivers thread. Since that link in (2009) have flowered a couple of Intergeneric Vandaceous and have left them outside to suffer in that glass-house in the winter.

I saw the other thread and was encouraged by everyone's experiences. I'm a bit nervous for when we go on vacation in August, but am hopeful that I can find a way to keep it alive during that time.

Wanted to update that my vasco is in bloom! She bloomed for me on Mother's Day which was even better :)

Grrrrr, I still don't know why it shows up sideways!
