How big is this garden?

It is a 1/4 acre but somewhat complicated

how is your garden laid out? do you want drip irrigation? what is the water source? is there sufficient pressure for what you want to do? what is your budget? etc etc etc etc.

I set up my first system this year. I was a bit intimidated by the massive component lists online, but after diving into it, I found it to be easy. My basic setup is a 1/2 inch line from a hose bib on the back of my house run 250ft back to the garden, with a branch off to a hoop house, and then multiple branches along the long side of the fence. I'm running drip tape along the rows and micro tube/emitters to some containers. I have shutoff valves set up so that I have multiple zones I can turn on and off as needed. It supplies water to a 400 sq ft hoop house and 50x50 garden plot. Not all zones are running at the same time, I will be using a timer some, but also manually turning zones on and off. I feel it is a basic setup and as I am new to the system, I'm sure some kinks to work out, no pun intended. I found it easiest to sketch out a diagram of water distribution, starting at the hose connection, and listing each component part as I moved down the system. I ordered from Dripworks and found them to be a good source.

I use drip tape and an EZ Flo injector. With that much area, you'd probably have enough flow that a cheaper suction injector like a Hozon would work.

I usually buy my drip supplies from Morgan County Seed. They're cheap. They get a little slow in the spring sometimes though when they are busy.

Annyone use NAAN sprinklers?

I've used Netafim overhead micro sprinklers for seedling tables. Very happy with them, supposedly they had some design improvements from the Dan/Naan micro sprinklers.

are sprinklers like Naan used more for seedlings? if so what sprinklers do you use for the primary fields?

i use t-tape or spray stakes. the spray stakes are antelco. i also use emitters made by netafim.
