That is the sixty four $ question. Purchased a Primary Hybrid with Coel. usitana as one parent about a year ago in the dreaded spag. and left it alone and so far it has survived.

Temptation got the better of me because it will have to be potted on this coming spring and I did not have a clue on how to grow Coelogyne needing warmer conditions. Danger time! And, of course being a rarer type of hybrid not much information to go on. (Hybrid name Coel. Bird in Flight)

Anyway it has spent a year in here at bench level in the shadiest spot i could find.

Guessing at temperature extremes Low: maybe 4C High maybe 40C. Out there at the moment it is about 11C and humidity = water condensing on glass-house walls. Fan is running 24/7. Heater has come on and will run for an hour or two....and lift day temp.

Read up on the species parents and decided it needed a bit more shelter than the general run of Coelogyne which happily grow under shade-cloth.
