How about changing the wall color to the cream color in your bedding and pillows? Dark wood shades the color of your headboard and different and larger lamps.

If you are wanting to keep your nice bedding, I would change the wall color. I don't think it's complementing the bedding. Bedside tables look to be a tight squeeze in the space. I think you need taller lamps too! Of course, some artwork, mirrors, etc...would look good over the bed. Good luck:)

I think new wall color would be the first change I would make. You can get away with keeping the furniture, IMO. I think the bedding is fine.

You definitely need new lamps. The new ones should be a little bit taller. OR look into wall-hung reading lamps. a la:

The room will look softer with window dressings. I don't think you have enough room for panels. I would look into a roman shade for each window.

I don't think your bathroom needs to be the same color, but I'm not super concerned about consistency between rooms. I do think they should complement each other though.

Art - the room could use some appropriately sized wall art. Double check your need/desire to have the tv in the room. I prefer without.

A banded natural sisal or jute rug would help pull everything together and make it feel cozier.

A neutral wheat color might look nice, or you could pick up on the blues and go with that. Here are a few color ideas (based on what looks good on my monitor).

There are many possibilities. I don't know if the painting of the room is recent or not. If not then a color change would help. Nothing too white since it looks like you are not afraid of color. If the painting is recent consider a glaze (sometimes called color wash). This can do many things, shift the color, add movement, soften the color or intensify the color depending on the choice made. Before you do anything else I would find the window treatments and fabric. You can definitely use a little pattern and texture as well as a softening of the space. The fabric can marry all the colors as well as serve as the inspiration for all other choices in the space.

Hi! I just came across your post and I just discovered that putting the curtain rods closer to the ceiling (like 2") really opens up the room. Also, a nice cluster of picture frames would look good above the bed. Just make a collection of pictures from this site and start with the most inexpensive changes (i.e. I'd save re-painting last if you feel that you must). Good luck and have fun!
