If you don't play the piano and just want it as a piece of furniture, you can look for a used baby grand in cherry on Craigslist. You'll get a better price than going to a piano dealer. If integrity as an instrument doesn't matter, depending on where you are, you should be able to get one for around $1200 or less. If you want to play, you're entering into a whole other conversation. Every piano, even within the same brand, is going to sound different. Starting at about $11,000 you can get a decent used baby grand. If you want an instrument you can play, and you don't know about pianos, get yourself a book called "Piano Buyer" by Larry Fine. It's the piano buying bible. We're just going through this.
