I'm biased and really think you can't have too much white, so I would say if you want white cabinets you should go ahead. The UbaTuba and wall color and (eventually) wood floors will provide the contrast. But if you are keeping white appliances (and that's fine) I'd choose a white for the cabinets that is as bright as the white on the appliances. Otherwise stark white appliances can make off-white or cream cabinets look dingy. Alternately, if you want to go with a different color for the cabinets that's fine too. A light gray or a soft sagey gray- green would make a lovely contrast against the white appliances, for example.

Maybe white upper cabinets and something darker below?

The kitchen below isn't mixed colors - but it seems it would work really well with your painted table, white appliances, uba tuba and backsplash.

All white kitchen could be nice with the addition of wood flooring you will install later.

Thanks for all your ideas :) I never thought of another color like soft grey or sage grey. Interesting...I'll look for some samples of colors. I like the 2 color idea too. I'm glad to know to go bright white if I keep those appliances (which for now, yeah.).
