I have had my potted Chicago Hardy fig for 4 years. I keep it in my attached garage and have great success with it bearing fruit. Last fall I decided to root prune my fig--it wasn't totally dormant, but I was leaving for FL for six months. I came home yesterday and was dismayed to find that my fig hadn't started to leaf out yet.

I have given in a good soaking and have placed it outside in the sunshine.

Have I killed it?? Is there any hope??
