Choosing a slide out vent hood for over induction

Hi GW, I'm looking for a 30" slide out vent hood for over an induction cooktop. I'm mostly looking at the Zephyr Pisa (300 cfm) and the Faber Crystal (600 cfm), which are in the $600 range (about all I can handle).

Any advice? I was all set to get the Pisa, and then someone told me I need at least 600 cfm, though I didn't think to say we're getting induction, so maybe that would have made a difference?

Thanks for any advice, GW!

Forget the induction part. How much CFM do you have now and is it enough? If it is, and you don't plan on cooking more smokey fishy stuff, it's probably fine to go with about the same.

If it helps, I had a 650 (maybe 600) CFM slideout over a 36" induction cooktop and it was totally fine. Personally, I'd take 600 over 300 but if the Zephyr looks that much better or has other features you prefer, it's most likely fine.

Well, that makes it hard to compare! :)

Why does the 300 cfm appeal to you more than the 600, even though they are about the same price? I do prefer more CFM, but hoods are there for far more than just sucking. The lights are important and appearances are pretty important too.
