Cap windows or retrofit??

My house is 25 years old and the windows have condensation between the glass and the wood frames have seen better days. I was planning to retrofit, but them someone suggested that capping would help with the condensation and would be significantly cheaper than retrofit. I am weary of capping, but would appreciate some expert advice. Thanks!!

Capping like exterior metal trim cladding?... Not sure how that would help at all with condensation. Furthermore, if it is between the glass, you have a seal failure. Replacement is needed of the glass unit at minimum, if not the window.
