Small Bath Reno

We have recently done a small overhaul in the guest bathroom with a tiled tub surround, new paint, counter update, etc. We still have a bit to do but I'm now debating between a shower curtain, glass panel, or frameless sliding glass door. I am leaning towards the sliding glass door as the bathroom is fairly small. I want it to feel light and open.

If it's the only tub and you are considering selling in the future, go with a shower curtain. No parent can wash a child with a glass enclosure.

what is your budget for the enclosure?

do you plan you take showers more often baths? if yes, then I would go with a glass enclosure.

Right now we use it only for showers. However, been trying to consider for the future (for us or future buyers) that this is the only tub in the house and should be easy to bathe children in

We don't have a specific budget. Would like to remain somewhat frugal, but we are also open to more expensive options.

I usually use a clear vinyl shower curtain.

A glass panel would be updated but shouldn't break the bank. Maybe it's the happy medium? As long as you will be happy with that result, however.

If it were me, I'd opt for a shower curtain. I've actually tripped twice out of my parents sliding door enclosure. That was the only two times I used their shower too. Not sure why or if it was a fluke or what. Just wanted to put that out there incase that's a common thing for them. It's probably not and I'm just a weirdo, but I'd never install one because of that.

I've never really been a fan of sliding glass enclosures, instead I'd go with the glass door. If there's truly not enough room for the door swing, I'd just select the clear shower curtain with a more decorative one on the outside. Plus you can switch those out if you ever get bored! :)

do *you* use the shower now? (as its a guest bath...). if you do put in what you like. if it's only occasionally used i'd stick with just a curtain.

Thanks for all the feedback thus far! I do use this bathroom very frequently. Our master is very small so I use this bath and my husband uses the master.

I love the look of glass as I think it looks more polished. Does anyone know how much of a pain it might be for future buyers to remove the glass doors if they wanted?

Installation of the new frameless glass solutions are installed primarily with ultra thick adhesives. It similar to a nearly hardened plastic. I imagine the same company that installs them (it's a very quick job) can reverse it just as quickly and easily.

I'd go with a bi-folding tub enclosure. it has no tracks

I'm not a fan of the tub enclosures with tracks. shower curtains or what they are.
