yes Silicone isn't pretty from the backside. Another choice for outside pieces is Lexel. Interior work can be done with MAC (has to be ordered from mosaic suppliers, is expensive but it goes a long long way) or Weldbond. Lots of ppl complain that weldbond takes too long to clear but not if you coat the glass substrate 1st and then use it very sparingly on your tesserae. what ever glue you use - it's imperative that you get a good seal around the outside edges of your tess or you risk the dreaded GOG ruining """GROUT BLEED"""" There's a face book group for GOG that has a lot of files and advice.
