Three spindly canes existed when we moved in, but I loved the blooms. This is the best year yet! Antique Roses Forum identified them as Shailer's Provence.

I guess you can see how well I don't check my personal email during the last month of school! I actually have 2-3 canes that came up in my tulip bed . Do you think if I trim them back right before the fling and dug them up they would work? Any tips would be appreciated. Also, Lisa, you're a peony person, aren't you? I had about 20 buds that were opening up, but the rain took all but one out. I tried to get a definite i.d. on the peony forum and they semi-confirmed they were Sarah Bernhardts. Have you ever grown or seen them in person? I'd sure like to know. Thanks!!!
