Exciting News!

Hi everyone,

I've been busy with other things in life, but I wanted to share a very special Hoya update with you all. I gave cuttings off of Nikki to a friend who was also close to her. We see each other sometimes with other friends and Nikki's younger brother. Well, she texted me tonight and sent a picture of an up close peduncle with buds!!! She said that the new leaves usually doesn't look like that and she asked if it was what she thought it was? I told her yes :). If she takes pictures of it when it blooms, I'll post them here.

I gave her the rooted cuttings/plant a couple years ago. Last time I saw it, it was throwing out those famous long, bare vines (I have two on Nikki right now). The peduncles she found on her plant are on two separate vines. Her plant is also in a small pot, is in a brightly lit window, and I'm not sure if she gives it fertilizer or not. Out of our little group, hers is the first plant to bloom.
