Velvet Quilt

I've been saving velvets for several years now, and finally have enough for a large quilt. But now I'm wondering what would be the best fabric for the back. Satin would be nice, but I think it would be too slippery. I think it should be a nice fabric to fit the velvety-ness of the front, but I can't think of what would be best. Any suggestions? :)

Satin might be nice but I think it would be a bear to work with. Maybe something like ultra suede would work if you just put the top and back together without any batting.

If you have enough velvet left, that would be perfect. When I make batik quilts I use blocks of batiks.

A velvet quilt....it sounds so dreamy. I have no suggestions, just the thought of a velvet quilt is comfy to me. When I was a very young girl, I thought I wanted a white velvet wedding dress....

Do post when you at least have the top complete...I so want to see a velvet!
