Only if the grass has gone to seed. The blades of grass themselves will not root and grow.

If not mowed regularly, lawn grasses will develop 'flower heads' that form seeds. Often, even clipped flower heads (removed from the grass blades) will ripen and produce viable seeds if not removed from flower beds or other, nonlawn areas.

Lawn grasses or weed grasses growing in flowerbeds is not a great situation. Grass is a very vigorous plant and greedily gobbles up soil nutrients and moisture as well weaving itself through the root system of other, more desirable plants. Once that happens, it is extremely difficult to remove without disturbing or uprooting the desired plant.
