It does look quite a bit like azalea poukhanense, but... There are probably 1000's of azalea varieties at this point. Identification from a photograph is difficult at best. Identification with no close up of the flowers or leaves, no further information about the plant is even more difficult, so azalea poukanense should be thought of as more of a guess than a positive id.

I'm mostly looking for a close enough guess or two so that if I end up not being able to propagate the plants I've got, I'll at least have an idea of what I need to order to restore the hedge. It used to run all the way down the side of the lot, from our garden gate to the neighbors, but when we moved in half the bushes were dead...

Take some blooms and foliage to a reputable azalea nursery to find the best match. Colors are hard to 'remember'. The only potential problem would be that sometimes nursery plants are further along in their bloom cycle than your garden plants. At least that's the case around here.
