Personally, I would water it. I wouldn't fertilize, but I would water and let it get more root mass in there. I think the roots are very new and the fertilizer might be too much for it just yet. But that's just my opinion, I'm sure others will give you more info and opinions. Good job though, you tackled the biggest hurdle, getting that root!!

Thanks elucas! I've been reading a lot reading a lot on the various methods and some of the stuff have me second-guessing myself! So thanks for the confirmation.

I did end up watering it yesterday - held off on fertilizing until I see leaves. In the short day since I made that initial post, the 1-in visible root is now circling most of the bottom of the cup and I can start seeing roots against the side of the cup as well (it's the size of one of those small ones at Starbucks). One hurdle down. Getting a little better with more practice - that is the practice of leaving them alone! :)
